Dr Jean Annan

Registered Psychologist

Dr Jean Annan is a registered psychologist who works with children and young people experiencing challenges to emotional well-being and learning at Positively Psychology. She has worked with schools across Aotearoa New Zealand, at universities in Auckland and in government agencies that seek to enhance young people’s well-being. Positively Psychology’s work is based on up-to-date psychology knowledge, primarily positive psychology, neuroscience and solution-focused, narrative therapies, all of which have shaped practices that demonstrate good outcomes for young people.

PSYCHOLOGY CONSULTATIONs

Positively Psychology uses positive, appreciative and neuroscience-based approaches for optimising children’s and teenager’s emotional well-being and learning. Through these methods, young people come to understand and adjust their thoughts, feelings and actions. They develop tools they can use to support their well-being now and in the future.

Positively Psychology is offering groups of practitioners a series of three half-day workshops on building children’s emotional well-being. Scheduling is negotiated with each client group. The workshops are designed to support the work of practitioners from education and health sectors.

TESTIMONIAls

Jean's attention to detail and care with how we approach parenting our 6 year old daughter is amazing. There is a real duty of care, and I love that it is tailored to our daughter as a whole, not a blanket approach, I feel so positive moving forward.
